July 4th in Another Country?! and Bye Europe!

Thursday, July 4, 2013, 9pm:

Today we headed back to London. We left Brussels at 11:15am and arrived in London at 12:15pm (it was a two hour trip, but we gained and hour when we came back to London). After arriving at St. Pancras. We took the tube out to Heathrow Airport and checked into our hotel by the airport. We took the tube back into west London and did a little bit of shopping and had dinner, then returned to our hotel by the airport. This was the first time I had ever spent the 4th of July not in the United States. It made me feel anti-American. Haha! Tomorrow we are returning to the United States.

We are finally back home! After being gone for 8 weeks, it feels weird to be back in my small town. Our flight was good. We woke up and had breakfast at our hotel and then headed over to the airport. Our flight left at 10:05am and arrived in Washington D.C. at 1:00pm. Something ended up getting messed up with our seats on the flight from London to Washington D.C., so my dad had to sit a few rows behind my mom and I. We left Washington D.C. at 2:41pm and got into Columbus at 4:39pm. We had dinner on the way home and now we are back and unpacking all of our goodies. Overall, both my study abroad experience and our family trip to Brussels and Cologne were both amazing! I had so much fun!
