It’s So Windy!

Friday, November 7, 10 PM:

Today we started our Orchestra Trip to Chicago! Overall, the bus ride was pretty uneventful. Alicha and I listened to music and Bryce and Mazaher were annoying as usual. We left New Concord around 6 AM and arrived in Chicago around 2 PM.

Our first stop in Chicago was checking into the hotel. After we freshened up, we headed to the Sears Tower! It was so tall!! It is definitely the tallest building I have ever been in. The view was really cool. The elevator ride was scary though, because last year we got stuck in an elevator and it was terrifying! This ride was only about 30 seconds long though, so it was ok.

After going to the Sears Tower, we went to dinner at a traditional Chicago style pizzeria. It was very yummy! Then we went to see the Blue Man Group. They were absolutely fantastic! We got to sit in the splash zone, so occasionally we got sprayed with paint. We are now hanging out and relaxing at the hotel!

Saturday, November 8th, 11 PM:

Today we we had an orchestra workshop (which was the main reason we came on the trip). The workshop was very informative and it helped us get better as a group. After the workshop, we went shopping and had lunch at the Magnificent Mile Mall in Downtown Chicago. There were so many floors of shopping, it was hard to decide where to go. In the afternoon/evening,Β went to the Shedd Aquarium! It had so many cool fishies! We then had deep-dish Chicago pizza for dinner and headed back to the hotel.

Sunday, November 9th, 11 PM:

Today we performed at the Natural History Museum. It was really cool! We were able to perform in the main lobby while people came in and out of the museum. We then had lunch and went to see Wicked! It was fabulous! We then packed up to return home to New Concord, Ohio. We left Chicago at 3 PM and arrived home at 11 PM. Luckily, we don’t have school tomorrow.
